Telepsychiatry: Flexible Care That Fits Your Life

Many of our patients choose to receive ongoing psychiatric care through secure telepsychiatry — video appointments attended from the privacy and comfort of home, work, or anywhere in Arizona.
Telepsychiatry is always optional. You are welcome to be seen in person at any time, and some visits are best done in person. New patients begin with an in-person evaluation, after which many continue much of their routine care remotely — which can mean less time away from work or family and more consistent access to your provider, while maintaining the same quality of care.
To support safe, high-quality care, periodic in-person visits remain part of treatment for patients seen primarily via telepsychiatry.
Telepsychiatry can work well for:
What you’ll need: a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Telepsychiatry is available to patients located in Arizona at the time of their appointment. Most major insurance plans cover telepsychiatry; contact us to confirm your coverage. To find out whether telepsychiatry is right for you, request an appointment or contact our office.

Insurance and Fees

Missed and cancelled appointments with less than 24-hour notice will be charged to you directly as insurance companies typically do not pay for late cancellations or No Shows. Payment will be required for missed appointments before another appointment will be made.

Fees are collected at the time of the service. Checks are only accepted from established patients and at the treatment center’s discretion.  Self-pay price for an initial appointment is $250-$450 (depending on the provider).  Follow up appointments are $150 – $250 (depending on the provider).

Transitions Center is not an in-network provider for AHCCCS/Medicaid although some of our clinicians may be in-network.  Our staff will attempt to verify your insurance prior to your first appointment. Please check with our staff to see if one of our providers is an in-network provider for your insurance plan.

“Urgent” Matters

Transitions Center DOES NOT have providers who are “on-call” after hours and as such it provides services ONLY during regular business hours. If you are a currently receiving services at Transitions Center and have an urgent matter that you believe cannot wait until the following business day it is likely that your situation is emergent and would be better served by calling emergency or crisis services listed in the “Resources” Page. However, you can call during normal business hours to request an “urgent” appointment which will be evaluated by our staff and accommodated based upon the nature of the situation and provider availability.  Please note that it is the patient’s responsibility to request refills at least 5 business days before running out of medications. Refill requests are only evaluated during regular business hours.
If this is an emergency, do not use this website.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.
