Dr. Akhter has a vast clinical experience in the practice of psychiatry. He specializes in treating individuals with serious mental illness and those struggling with alcohol & substance abuse disorders. For the last several years he is serving as an Attending Psychiatrist at the Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona besides maintaining an active outpatient practice. Tariq Ghafoor, M.D.
Dr. Ghafoor is Board Certified in General Adult Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry, and has completed a 2-year Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He has served in several leadership positions (Medical Director & Medical Staff President) at various local hospitals. He is the Past President of the Arizona Psychiatric Society (2012- 13), and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine Phoenix. He specializes in treating adults & adolescents with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders

Safdar Chaudhary, M.D.
Dr. Chaudhary is Board Certified in General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He has been practicing psychiatry for the past 25 years treating all types of psychiatric disorders and alcohol & substance abuse problems. He has received two years intensive training by Behavioral Tech Research, Inc (Marsha M. Linehan PhD) in learning and implementing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Besides his clinical practice, Dr. Chaudhary specializes in providing training and supervision to clinicians in the practice of mindfulness based treatments.

Kathy Forsyth-Williams, MS, LPC, NCC
Kathy has been practicing psychotherapy for 30 years and has extensive experience working in agencies, hospitals, universities and private practice settings. She treats individuals with a variety of issue and specializes in depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship issues and divorce issues. She primarily engages in individual and couples counseling and is highly skilled in utilizing following psychotherapy approaches:

Chel’sea Ryan, MSW, LMSW
Chel’sea is originally from Virginia and is a Licensed therapist. She is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelors degree in social work and Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters degree in clinical social work. She has spent time working as a social worker and therapist with children and adults, specializing in the seriously mentally ill (SMI population). Chel’sea is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and enjoys working with a variety of people.
